Welcome back Tearlaments Kitalkos.
Is so funny how Konami gave us the Dragon form of Chamber after so long, just to immediately make us wait for another one.
Also, all of the names of the Dragon forms are anagrams of their maid forms, but how you Stern from Chamber
They’re not guessing TCG on Chame’s Dragon, they’re doing OCG and those are German.
The english names are anagrams of their maid counterpart.
The japanese names are words that allude to the dragon’s attribute.
Hi Ok i can explain/ the OCG names are a different naming convention- the dragon form names are a german word related to the dragon’s element, like House the light dragonmaid’s dragon form is Strahl- meaning ray of light
Lmao so true… and her dragon form probably won’t be released for next 10 years
Finally, we got Chamber’s dragon form. I’m super excited for these cards.
Cringiest deck ever printed
cope
A handful of changes from the leaks:
Dragonmaid Stern:
– Dragon Fusions also had battle protection
Dragonmaid Latys:
– Could also be Fusion Summoned
– Fusion Summon effect was generic and materials were shuffled into the Deck from your GY and/or banishment.
We should get the first ALIN reveal this month tomorrow.
I thought the Cyberses had been revealed and they’re from ALIN
The first ALIN reveal *for this month*
Nunca voy a entender el fanatismo por las Dragonmaid, ni siquiera fue el mejor arquetipo de Mystic Fighters como para que sean las que reciban más soporte, los mejores siempre serán Mathmech.
i swear to god konami does this fusion not say once per turn on its summoning condition
omg if you yous chamber to summon this you can itself and chamber to summon the new light and darkness dragon fusion in the stand by phase
Light and Darkness Dragonlord needs two level eights as material. There are no other level eight light/dark Dragonmaids besides Latys. If you want to make it in this deck you’ll need to use something like Dark End Evaporation Dragon.
Can’t you read it says the first and second effect is once per turn.
What’s that about Laundry?
Being that Laundry is a very popular monster, many expected her to get a retrain or a nod in this set.
The other themes have gotten cards connected to their Chibi Arts.
Lady’s is not related to Laundry makes her an outlier.
Got it. Thanks for answering.
Y yo nunca voy a entender a la gente que ve a otros recibiendo algo que les haga felices para solo molestarse porque les dieron algo.
Farfa if you have time to read this comment you have time to watch Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid (1st episode is free on YouTube sub or dub…. make it sub)
Now the only real question is which is stronger, the Dragon Maid deck from Yu-Gi-Oh, or the Dragon Maid tie in cards from Weiss Schwartz?
New dragons are always a win, now we just wait on New spells/traps
I feel like a number of archetypes could benefit from more in-archetype S/T support. Starry Knights, Star Seraphs, and Gold Pride, for example.
If all of them are in one room who fused into house? And why does she have to fuse harder to access her full dragon form? These are the questions that keep me up at night.
“2 “Dragonmaid” monsters with the same Attribute but different Levels”
Ok now Laundry somehow has to fuse with her own dragon form to become a blonde. Is Fluss in the gy her future self now? This wackiness is on the level of ocg Number 100’s materials.
Could we anticipate getting 6 new promotional cards (based on the first 6 anime series) like we have for the last 2 years or have those releases been replaced with Orcust/Dragonmaid/PUNK support?
yes, this is the same kind of set we got those, they changed the theme
Hi @XBrain130, thanks for clarifying that. It’s a shame we are losing the anime themed cards as they were occasionally really good for their decks but at least they are using the pack to support older decks (Dragonmaid haven’t had support in 4+ years).
Can’t wait for fanart of Stern. Yeah you heard me right. ;3
Anywho, am not feeling extra extenders was really what the deck needed… IMO they need more actual goals besides just summoning Sheou, plus couple other dragon maids, and passing turn. However I’ll admit I might be missing something here, as I haven’t played Dragonmaids tons, and in general I tend to build fun type decks on the pure side, as “random good stuff” decks like Dragon Link don’t appeal to me.
I’m tempted to say that Latys means more consistency (she’s summonable off any dragon/maid combo, so Parlor & Kitchen both have easy times setting her up, so if you need to get a particular maid like Chamber out the Lady’s Dragonmaid has you covered) and also that you can be freer with your Sheou/Strahl creation & usage (you can afford to either not make Sheou Turn 1 OR to spend her negate during your turn to bully through a handtrap since Latys will just print a new one in the enemy SP.
As for Stern, I’m tempted to say that she’ll also pull double duty as giving Dragonmaids some extra capacity to bounce back from disruption — if you get Nibiru’d, for example, you can just spend Stern to revive a Fusion or something — so it might be worthwhile to not use her JUST as an extender in pure Dragonmaids?
The goal DOES still remain ‘get House & Sheou out and start stomping things in the start of the Battle Phase’, alas, but this at least make life a bit easier. Maybe Latys’s dragon form will help matters when it eventually appears . . . ?
@Baroque
Watched some videos with folk already trying out the new cards, they are good of course. But like I thought most players are still heavily mixing Dragonmaid with other “good stuff” dragon cards such as Bystials, the Light & Darkness dragon cards, and some of the typical extra deck Dragon Link stuff… It seems pure versions of Dragonmaids still will struggle to be competitive whatsoever on their own, which is a shame, and why I would like to see new cards that give them more goals. Regardless of that, I will say that Latys is more helpful for the deck then I assumed before.
Hmmmm not gonna lie, Latys looks cute!
Plus stern can work well with her
What else you want? They clean your house and protect you at the same time.
I swear cop. It’s a thousand year old dragon
@GG the new dragons don’t even look like children, wtf r u even on about
Doesn’t Ladis Dragonmaid now imply they have a master and she’s a female? If that’s the case, I kinda don’t like it, since it previously had the implication that you, the player, is the master of the house, and it was gender neutral that way, since anyone can pilot the deck.
stern dragon maid mait be a good tech in branded you send it and albaz to summon lubelion then after you finish your combo in your opponents draw phase you give D/D/D Vice King Requiem then you summon back stern to your field to protect from board breakers and other things
also this what vice king requiem does
You cannot Special Summon monsters, except “D/D/D” monsters. A “D/D/D” monster that was Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect.
●Once per turn: You can target 1 card on the field; shuffle 1 “Dark Contract” card from your field or GY into the Deck, and if you do, destroy that target, then gain 1000 LP.
You can only use this effect of “D/D/D Vice King Requiem” once per turn.
Don’t the big dragons normally do disruption?
Erde/Ernus let you summon a maid from your hand (Lv4 or lower, alas), so Stern being Maid-ster Reborn isn’t COMPLETELY unprecedented; I’m pleasantly surprised at it all the same, though, I’ll admit, especially with the lack of targeting on the rez and the way Stern flips the usual protection-while-a-Fusion’s-out into Fusion-protection-while-she’s-out.
In my mind, the only things Dragonmaids is really missing, is a master/mistress of the mansion monster and a “Dragonmaid Manor” field spell.
My thoughts on the Master/Mistress being roughly a child (preteen at the oldest), most likely a level 1 monster, and have either or both an effect that buffs the Dragonmaids in some way (higher stats? protection from monster effects? dunno.) and protects (the master/mistress) from either attacks and/or card effects while you have a Dragonmaid monster on the field.
no thoughts on what the field spell’s effect would be other than covering some sort of weakness or adding more consistency
finally a year of dragon for my beloved waifu dragon
