Monster Effect:
(1) Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up monster you control; destroy both this card and that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster or Dragon-Type Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, but its ATK and DEF each become 0, its effects are negated, also it cannot be used as Material for a Synchro or Xyz Summon.
(2) If this card in your Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Flavor Text:

熾烈な戦渦を経た猛き龍。傷付いたその身は古の光に触れ、浸渦を遂げた。やがて、龍はその翼を広げ、天渦を制する煌となる。その新たなる煌は、夢か現か幻か。
A ferocious dragon that has survived countless violent battles. It underwent evolution in a maelstrom at the depths of the ocean, unleashing an ancient light from its wounded form. At last, the dragon spread its wings, becoming the radiance that rules wherever the wind whirls. But is this new radiance a dream? Reality? Or is it an illusion?

Decchan’s Translation Notes:
This is full of stupid puns. Starting with part of the name:
煌 (ou) is an obscure kanji, meaning “to shine” but contains the kanji 皇 (ou), which means “emperor” or “ruler”. Check Number 39: Utopia’s Japanese name for an example of this kanji being used. This is also why the flavor text mentions that the “radiance” is ruling over things, because it’s also playing on the emperor thing.
渦 (uzu) is a kanji that means “whirlpool” or “vortex”. So they use it a lot in the flavor text to be cute.
戦渦 (senka) is an actual word, made of the kanji for “battle” and “vortex”, and means something like “turmoils of war”.
浸渦 (shinka) is not a real word – not with these kanji. Here we have the kanji for “immerse” and “vortex”, playing off the real word 進化 (shinka), “evolution”.
天渦 (tenka) is also not a real word with this kanji pairing. With the kanji for “heaven” and “vortex”, it could be a poetic way to talk about whirlwinds, tornadoes, and the like. But given the emperor parallels, it’s more likely a play on 天下 (tenka), a way to say “everything” or “the whole world” (the kanji are “heaven” and “down/below” – “everything under heaven”).

 

 

MACR-JP058 Gen’ouryuu no Spiral Hold/Spiral Hold of the Mythic Radiant Dragon
Equip Spell Card
Equip only to a Normal Monster. You can only use the (2) effect of “Spiral Hold of the Mythic Radiant Dragon” once per turn.
(1) The equipped monster gains 500 ATK.
(2) When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: You can Special Summon 1 “Spiral, the Mythic Radiant Dragon” from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, and if you do, equip this card to it, then, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

 

MACR-JP057 Gen’ouryuu no Spiral Crash / Spiral Crash of the Mythic Radiant Dragon

Equip only to a Normal Monster. You can only use the (2) effect of “Spiral Crash of the Mythic Radiant Dragon” once per turn.
(1) If the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
(2) When the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 “Spiral, the Mythic Radiant Dragon” from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard, and if you do, equip this card to it, then, you can change 1 Attack Position monster your opponent controls to Defense Position.

If the field is “Umi”, you can activate this card from your hand.
[(1) If you only control Normal Monsters (min. 1): Target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; it loses 1000 ATK and DEF, also its effects are negated. These changes lasts until the end of this turn.]
(2) You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Normal Monster you control; equip 1 “Mythic Radiant Dragon” Equip Spell Card from your hand or Graveyard to that target.

During the turn you activate any of this card’s effects, you cannot Normal or Special Summon Effect Monsters.
(1) Once per turn, if you Normal or Special Summon exactly 1 Normal Monster: You can add 1 “Mythic Radiant Dragon” card from your Deck to your hand.
(2) If you control no Tokens, and your opponent activates a card or effect: You can Special Summon 1 “Mythic Radiant Dragon Token” (Wyrm-Type/WATER/Level 8/ATK 2000/DEF 2000).

(2) While this card is in the Spell & Trap Zone, each player can only Set 1 Spell/Trap Card from their hand per turn, and a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck cannot attack during the turn it is Special Summoned.
(3) Once per turn, during your Draw Phase, before you conduct your Normal Draw: You can add 1 Monster from your Graveyard to your hand instead of conducting your Normal Draw.

Brain Control (Errata)
Normal Spell Card
(1) Pay 800 LP, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that can be Normal Summoned/Set; take control of that target until the End Phase.

Future Fusion (Errata)
Continuous Spell Card
(1) During your next Standby Phase after this card’s activation: Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, send the Fusion Materials for that Fusion Monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.
(2) During your 2nd Standby Phase after this card’s activation: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster with the same name as the monster you revealed with this card’s (1) effect from your Extra Deck. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

Imperial Order (Errata)

You must pay 700 LP during each player’s Standby Phase. If you cannot pay 700 LP, destroy this card.

• It is now the End Phase of this turn.
