TellarDenebAnnounced today via Discord, SimOrg will be hosting a major tournament with a $2500 prize pool! The tournament will only occur if a minimum of 64 participants sign up, with $1000 going to the 1st place and $1500 split amongst the top players.Entry is $20.00 per player and matches must be run exclusively on SimOrg. The format will be Advanced and use the "Nuclear Banlist" that was just announced to be unveiled during YCS Houston.
If player participation rises above 124, 50% of all additional funds will go into the prize pool. By way of example as to how additional players would affect the prize pool:
256 players would take in $5120, that extra $2620 would mean $1310 more added to the prize pool for a total of $3810.
1st place is still guaranteed $1000, so the other $2810 would distribute to the rest of top cut. 256 players means a top cut of 32 after 8 rounds of Swiss (13 rounds total).
