<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Strategic Summary:<\/h4>\n<p>Today’s CDP features the return of the Valmonica to my channel, this time in a new hybrid combination with the Blackwing archetype. If you missed my first time covering this archetype as a revitalization of the Clownblade strategy, be sure to check that out here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KX_sxkruHMg\"><strong>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KX_sxkruHMg <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This Valmonica build is a bit different, as this time, we’re going all in on heavy effect damage. You see, the Blackwing archetype naturally carries a bunch of ways to inflict damage to yourself and rack up counters on <strong>Demone Valmonica<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em>, as well as a number of effects that can be activated from the GY. So the effects of <strong>Demone Valmonica<\/strong> or <strong>Angelo Valmonica<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em> to send another card from the hand to the GY actually aren’t entirely all bad here, especially if you manage to send a copy of <strong>Blackwing – Zephyros the<\/strong> <strong>Elite<\/strong> or <strong>Blackwing – Zonda the Dusk<\/strong>. And yes, you read that right, I finally managed to fit Zonda into a CDP (it’s been a silent goal of mine for a while). Zonda carries two effects – the first being that when Summoned, Zonda can bounce any monster on the field back to the hand. Simple enough, but its second effect is cooler, in that it can be banished from the GY to Special Summon a Level 5 or higher Blackwing from your Deck, then take damage equal to its ATK. Outside of Zonda, the Blackwing theme also has a few more cards that inflict damage, such as <strong>Blackwing – Simoon the Poison Wind, Blackwing – Shamal the Sandstorm<\/strong>, and <strong>Blackwing – Sudri the Phantom Glimmer<\/strong>. Wtih all of these damaging effects, you’ll be almost guaranteed to be able to Link Summon <strong>Divine Oddity of Valmonica – Zebufera<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em>, and begin to copy the effects of a Valmonica S\/T that is in your GY or banished.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from that fun synergy I’ve already covered, and the fact that the Valmonica can help you Pendulum Summon out of a bricky hand of Level 4 Blackwing monsters, this deck is fairly straightforward Blackwing goodness. <strong>Black Whirlwind<\/strong> is your key card here, and your goal is to Normal Summon as many times as possible while you control Whirlwind to keep tutoring new Blackwing monsters. Once you’ve tutored them, you then gotta convert them into powerful Synchro monsters, such as <strong>Bystial Dis Pater, Chaos Angel, Black-Winged Assault Dragon<\/strong>, and even <strong>Blackwing Full Armor Master<\/strong>, all of which have a place. You can even employ the odd cousin of the theme, <strong>Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon<\/strong>, to mill 5 cards whenever you take effect damage, sending that many more Valmonica cards to the GY to abuse with your Monster effects. Speaking of Valmonica, there’s one final thing I want to highlight – <strong>Valmonica Scelta<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em>. This Normal Spell’s LP Gain effect, to place a card from your hand and draw 2, is vital for helping the Blackwing theme get to those copies of Simoon or Whirlwind, and yet another reason to add to the pile of ways these two archetypes interact.
