TL Note: A hanayome ningyo (\u82b1\u5ac1\u4eba\u5f62, lit. “bride doll”) is a doll made up to look like a bride, and allegedly has a traditional use as a stand-in “spouse” for the deceased<\/a> (as in, a “bride” to the dead person themselves). Instead of the normal kanji for “bride”, this card’s name uses three other kanji to make up a different hana-yo-me: \u96e2 (from hanareru, “to detach, to separate”), \u4e16 (from yo, “world, this life”), and \u53ec (from mesu, here meaning “to call, to summon”).
