<\/a><\/p>\nTyler Gressle’s “Tyler the Great Warrior” was sold via eBay auction on April 29th, 2023.<\/p>\n
This one-of-a-kind card was created for Mr. Gressle when he was a child as a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he was afflicted with a rare form of cancer in childhood. The organization helped Mr. Gressle with fulfilling a wish of his own Yu-Gi-Oh! card, inspired heavily by Future Trunks from the Dragon Ball series. 4Kids Entertainment, now Konami Cross Media, was an intermediary in making the wish happened.<\/p>\n
The design of the card itself was done in a two step process of Tyler drawing it, and then Mr. Takahashi Kazuki drew two sets of concept artworks for the card based on Mr. Gressle’s artwork:<\/p>\n Mr. Gressle explained he’s selling the card, that he received as a child, to help allocate the money to help him start a family, start a local business in his community, and provide a nest egg to let his family travel the world.<\/p>\n Mr. Gressle admitted back in 2015 he was considering selling the card due to financial hardships, but the offer at the time was $75,000.
