Shocking Family Hybrids.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Replays:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CFwj7NceWd0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Strategic Summary:<\/h4>\n<p>Welcome back for today&#8217;s CDP, and this one continues the trends of expanding the &#8216;Abyss&#8217; storyline archetypes into fun hybrids. In particular, today&#8217;s build enables the Hunder family theme, a group of Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monsters to do what they do best &#8211; Xyz Summon. <strong>Mahunder<\/strong> and <strong>Pahunder<\/strong> serve as the core to this nuclear family, each offering an Ignition Effect to Normal Summon an additional Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster from the hand. Keeping this family together is <strong>Brohunder<\/strong>, another LIGHT Thunder that tutors any Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster on summon, such as <strong>Batterman Solar<\/strong> or <strong>Diana the Light Spirit<\/strong>. Either way, two hunders gives you the opportunity to make a Rank 4, such as <strong>Springans Merrymaker<\/strong>, leading us into our second archetype!<\/p>\n<p>The Springans are a set of FIRE\/Machines that revolve around Xyz Monsters and re-attaching themselves as Xyz Material, even after sent to the GY. However Merrymaker serves a different purpose here &#8211; it is primarily used as Xyz Material for <strong>Gigantic &#8220;Champion&#8221; Sargas<\/strong>, a Rank 8 Xyz Monster that can tutor a Springans or Therion card while it has material. This tutors <strong>Therion &#8220;King&#8221; Regulus<\/strong>, or even my favorite Springan support card to date, <strong>Tally-ho! Springans<\/strong>\u00a0which detaches up to 3 materials from monsters you control to tutor a Springans than Special Summon that many Springans from hand\/GY equal to the number of materials detached at the beginning. This play flows into more Xyz monsters, such as another Rank 8s or another Rank 4 to supplement your Merrymaker.<\/p>\n<p>The last piece of this deck is the Bystial archetype, featured once again for its easy ability to Special Summon itself from the hand and provide a DARK counterpoint to your LIGHT Hunders. This is important, as any Bystial from <strong>Bystial Saronir<\/strong> to <strong>Bystial Druiswurm<\/strong> can be used as the Tuner for a Synchro Summon of <strong>Chaos Angel<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em> with any Level 4 LIGHT Thunder. What makes this even more potent of a combo is the newest Branded Continuous Trap, <strong>Branded Etude<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em>, which lets you Synchro Summon during the opponent&#8217;s turn, using a Dragon monster as material. All of these fun engines at play enable an array of threats from your Extra Deck, enabling this hybrid chimera of a strategy to overwhelm unexpected opponents.
