So you guys have been hearing about a missing Chaos Dragon Ruler coming out in V-Jump soon? Well, it isn’t real. We’ll go over why.<\/p>\n

This is the card in question:\"\"<\/p>\n

First off, let’s look at a real official proxy:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Notice some striking differences?<\/p>\n

First the name, Horizon uses very shaded, shining card name text. with borders, that official proxies don’t do.<\/p>\n

Secondly, its Attribute symbol is wrong. In Japan, LIGHT would be written as\u00a0\u3072\u304b\u308a, not LIGHT. It’s like how Dododo Buster has\u00a0\u3061 over the symbol for Earth (\u5730).<\/p>\n

Thirdly, the call for V-Jump Promotional card isn’t VJUMP-JPXXX in Japan, it’s VJMP-JPXXX.<\/p>\n

Fourth: Its Type,\u00a0\u30c9\u30e9\u30b4\u30f3\u65cf (Dragon-Type), is too close to the border and just right against the edge, and Dragon and Type have a space that official cards don’t have.<\/p>\n

Fifthly, its art looks like a repaint of Van’Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord.<\/p>\n

Sixth: It’s effect text lacks Furigana, small Japanese characters called Hiragana put over complex Japanese characters called Kanji. You see the little squiggles over the characters with more lines than the others? Those are Furigana.<\/p>\n

Horizon lacks it.<\/p>\n

Seven: Horizon has a Card Number (the bit on the bottom left) and the Eye of Anubus sticker, Proxies never have those.<\/p>\n

Horizon also uses very non standard text such as:
\n–\u00a0\u30d5\u30a7\u30a4\u30b9\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7 (Face-up) instead of\u00a0\u8868\u5074\u8868\u793a (face-up) position.
\n–\u00a0\uff12\u3064 instead of\u00a0\uff12\u4f53 (2 instead of “2 bodies”, which the OCG uses to refer to a number of cards.)
\n– It also has a : in the middle of text. This reeks of a Google Translate of Problem-Solving Card Text into Japanese.
\n– Also, Japanese cards don’t use parentheses to identify a card name, they use\u00a0\u300c and \u300das their quotation marks.<\/p>\n

Also, let’s look at Harpie Channeler and Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos to compare text:<\/p>\n

“…\u00a0\u30d5\u30a3\u30fc\u30eb\u30c9\u4e0a\u30fb\u5893\u5730\u306b\u5b58\u5728\u3059\u308b\u9650\u308a\u300c\u30cf\u30fc\u30d4\u30a3\u30fb\u30ec\u30c7\u30a3\u300d\u3068\u3057\u3066\u6271\u3046\u3002” for the Japanese. Now while Channeler is indicating its name, \u00a0we have still the wrong text order for Horizon for referencing the Graveyard and Field.<\/p>\n

Blaster: “\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u624b\u672d\u30fb\u5893\u5730\u304b\u3089\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u4ee5\u5916\u306e\u30c9\u30e9\u30b4\u30f3\u65cf\u307e\u305f\u306f\u708e\u5c5e\u6027\u306e\u30e2\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\u3092\u5408\u8a08\uff12\u4f53\u9664\u5916\u3057\u3066\u767a\u52d5\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3002\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u3092\u624b\u672d\u30fb\u5893\u5730\u304b\u3089\u7279\u6b8a\u53ec\u559a\u3059\u308b\u3002\u7279\u6b8a\u53ec\u559a\u3057\u305f\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u306f\u76f8\u624b\u306e\u30a8\u30f3\u30c9\u30d5\u30a7\u30a4\u30ba\u6642\u306b\u6301\u3061\u4e3b\u306e\u624b\u672d\u306b\u623b\u308b\u3002\u307e\u305f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u3068\u708e\u5c5e\u6027\u30e2\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\uff11\u4f53\u3092\u624b\u672d\u304b\u3089\u5893\u5730\u3078\u6368\u3066\u308b\u4e8b\u3067\u3001\u30d5\u30a3\u30fc\u30eb\u30c9\u4e0a\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\uff11\u679a\u3092\u9078\u629e\u3057\u3066\u7834\u58ca\u3059\u308b\u3002\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u304c\u9664\u5916\u3055\u308c\u305f\u5834\u5408\u3001\u30c7\u30c3\u30ad\u304b\u3089\u30c9\u30e9\u30b4\u30f3\u65cf\u30fb\u708e\u5c5e\u6027\u30e2\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\uff11\u4f53\u3092\u624b\u672d\u306b\u52a0\u3048\u308b\u4e8b\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3002\u300c\u7114\u5f81\u7adc\uff0d\u30d6\u30e9\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\u300d\u306e\u52b9\u679c\u306f\uff11\u30bf\u30fc\u30f3\u306b\uff11\u5ea6\u3057\u304b\u4f7f\u7528\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u3002”<\/p>\n

See how in many respects the words used are wrong, especially with “\u7279\u6b8a\u53ec\u559a\u3057\u305f\u3053\u306e\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u306f\u76f8\u624b\u306e\u30a8\u30f3\u30c9\u30d5\u30a7\u30a4\u30ba\u6642\u306b\u6301\u3061\u4e3b\u306e\u624b\u672d\u306b\u623b\u308b\u3002” (Dragon Rulers’ return text) and ”\u00a0\u300cName\u300d\u306e\u52b9\u679c\u306f\uff11\u30bf\u30fc\u30f3\u306b\uff11\u5ea6\u3057\u304b\u4f7f\u7528\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u3002” (You can only use 1 “Name” effect per turn, and only once that turn.)<\/p>\n

There’s also the fact that barring some catastrophic pattern change, Horizon wouldn’t be available until January\/February at the earliest, as VJMP-JP084 won’t be ready until December or so.<\/p>\n

There’s probably more, but there you go. It’s an extremely sloppily done card that doesn’t exist.<\/p>\n
