July 11th: Pearl Anniversary Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

On July 11th 1893, Mikimoto K\u014dkichi and his wife succeeded in culturing pearls for the first time.<\/p>\n

Three years after starting their farm, they were able to culture three semi-circular pearls. The first round pearl was completed in 1906.<\/p>\n
