\u30a2\u30cf\u30b7\u30de (Ahashima)<\/strong><\/a> seems to refer to one of the early failed children of Izanagi and Izanami, and also an island of the same name, meaning “Island of Foam”. Who later became a re-purposed Kami of childbirth, motherhood and women’s health (especially with the parts involving childbirth)<\/p>\n

It’s possible the card, being named after the sibling of Hiruko, and both are considered something of ‘failed’ gods in Japanese mythos, might be based in part on Mizuchi from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.<\/p>\n
