“Sylvan” Special Feature: Combo To Reveal The Cards Of Your Deck! Seize Victory!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The “Sylvan” series finally debuted in “Legacy of the Valiant” which came out last week, and it’s a new kind of Deck that fights by revealing cards from the Deck! Because their effects activate when they’re sent to the Graveyard by an effect that reveals, the “Sylvans” can chain combos, one after another. so you’ll be able to seize victory by using the right cards one after another!<\/p>\n

\"\"Sylvan Morigami Alsei<\/strong>
\n(LIGHT Plant-Type ATK 2300\/DEF 3200<\/em>)
\nXyz Summon it with 2 Level 8 monsters! Once per turn, you can activate this card’s effect by declaring a card name, and then reveal the top card of your Deck. If it’s the named card, it’s added to your hand, otherwise that card is sent to the Graveyard. It also has a powerful effect that can return 1 card on the field to the top or bottom of its owner’s Deck. Since this effect activates by using an Xyz Material whenever a card is sent from the Deck to the Graveyard, you can activate it using its first effect!<\/p>\n

The Characteristics of the Sylvan Monsters<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Sylvan Monsters all generally have an effect that when you reveal a Plant-Type monster from the top of your Deck, you send that monster to the Graveyard, and it returns a card to the bottom of the Deck (in the order you choose if it’s multiple cards) when it’s not a Plant-Type monster!<\/p>\n

Also, each of them has an effect that triggers when they’re sent from the Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect that excavates, so the “Sylvan” monsters are able to work in tandem with them.<\/p>\n

\nBy sending 1 Plant-Type monster from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard, you can place 1 “Sylvan” card in your Deck on top of your Deck! This effect of “Sacred Sylvan Peak” isn’t limited to once per turn, so it can be used to set up for some powerful combos.! Also, during each of your opponent’s End Phases: You can reveal the top card of your Deck, and if it’s a Plant-Type, send it to the Graveyard, otherwise, you can return that card to either the top or bottom of the Deck.<\/p>\n

\"\"Sylvan’s Blessing<\/strong>
\n(Normal Trap Card<\/em>)
\nIt has a powerful effect to place 1 card in your hand on either the bottom or top of your Deck, and then Special Summon a “Sylvan” monster from the hand or Graveyard! During the turn you Special Summon that monster with this effect, it can’t be affected by the effects of cards other than this card, and during the End Phase, it’s returned to the top or bottom of its owner’s Deck, but you CAN use it for an Xyz Summon before it’s returned to the Deck! Also, if the card you returned to the top of your Deck was a “Sylvan” monster, you can set up for your next combo!<\/p>\n

\nIt’s recommended you add in Plant-Type monsters! By using Level adjusting Tuners like “Spore<\/a>” and “Copy Plant<\/a>“, you can build an interesting Deck that Xyz AND Synchro Summon!<\/p>\n

Also, check for cards that can dump a huge number of “Sylvan” monsters to the Graveyard instantly, such as “Magical Merchant<\/a>“!<\/p>\n
