          The core \u201cBlitzclique\u201d monsters all have effects that activate in your hand to destroy something, and then either Special Summon themselves or another \u201cBlitzclique\u201d monster from your hand. Then all your \u201cBlitzclique\u201d monsters that were already on the field to see the card get destroyed can pick up the pieces and fashion them into loot, by adding more \u201cBlitzclique\u201d cards to your hand! (The type of card you get depends on which monster is doing the looting!)\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

          In a booster set dedicated to the King of Games, we just had to have a theme dedicated to one of the world\u2019s oldest games: chess!<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          That big floating chessboard in the sky is the centerpiece of a new world premiere theme that will make your head spin. Like chess itself, this will be a lot to wrap your head around at first, so\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0going to avoid using full card names and use some simple piece names, instead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          The chess theme is one of those rare themes that has no Main Deck monsters. Instead, it has Spells, Traps, and Synchro Monsters! It also works heavily with placing its Monster Cards into the Spell & Trap Zones. There are currently 4 chess monsters: \u2018king\u2019 (Level 10), \u2018rook\u2019 (Level 8), \u2018knight\u2019 (Level 7) \u2013 all with plenty of Attack Points!\u00a0\u2013 and the \u2018pawn\u2019 (Level 2, and also a Tuner).\u00a0All are Synchro Monsters.\u00a0Here\u2019s\u00a0how it works:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            The chessboard Field Spell lets you Summon a Level 2 chess piece (a \u2018pawn\u2019) directly from your Extra Deck each\u00a0turn, and\u00a0place a chessman from the Extra Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Except for the \u2018pawn,\u2019 chessmen have effects that activate when placed in the Spell & Trap Zone. The \u2018knight\u2019 adds a chess Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. The \u2018king\u2019 adds a chess Trap Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. And the \u2018rook\u2019 sort of \u2018castles\u2019 to place a \u2018king\u2019 from your Extra Deck in your Spell & Trap Zone.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            While\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0sitting in your Spell & Trap Zone, these pieces also have extra abilities. The \u2018knight\u2019 does 500 damage to your opponent each time they activate a card or effect. The \u2018king\u2019 limits your opponent to just 5 monster effects per turn. And the \u2018rook\u2019 protects all your chess cards from being destroyed by your opponent\u2019s card effects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            While\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0monsters, each chessman can banish another card from the field (generally an\u00a0opponent\u2019s monster). And if the \u2018pawn\u2019 uses this ability, it gets promoted by crossing over to your\u00a0opponent\u2019s\u00a0field, returning to your Extra Deck, and Special Summoning any chess piece from your Extra Deck. (That\u2019s\u00a0one way to Special Summon your non-\u2018pawn\u2019 chessmen.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            If a chessman Monster Card you control is destroyed (even if\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0in the Spell & Trap Zone), the chessboard Field Spell lets you return any chessman in your Spell & Trap Zone to the Extra Deck, then\u00a0immediately\u00a0Special Summon it. (That\u2019s\u00a0a second way to Special Summon your non-\u2018pawn\u2019 chessmen.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Chess pieces have no special Summoning restrictions, so you can also Synchro Summon them like any other Synchro Monster.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Got all that?\u00a0Don\u2019t\u00a0worry, the club meets after school if you need a refresher course.<\/p>\n

            One other thing. Just like how chess has special opening moves, so do the chessmen. This special Trap Card lets you:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                Another cool world premiere card is this new Level 8 Tuner monster.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0not a chessman, but it works perfectly with the chess strategy. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                  You can Special Summon this monster from your hand if\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0a Synchro Monster in your field or Graveyard.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                  When\u00a0Summoned, you can place up to 3 different Synchro Monsters from your Extra Deck and\/or Graveyard into your Spell & Trap Card Zone. You also get a bonus Token monster with a Level equal to the number of Synchro Monsters you placed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
