LOCH Support [CDP]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WINDs Ablaze through a Magical Inferno?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Replays:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gTwQNca4Lv8?si=G88c7wJwwr_sw2Ul\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Strategic Summary:<\/h4>\n<p>Today&#8217;s CDP features the return of multiple themes and engines to my channel, not to mention the burn strategy, but this time we&#8217;re keeping competitivity in mind! Since the Volcanic are front and center, I will have to start there, as this FIRE\/Pyro theme consists of various monsters that have plenty of ways to burn the opponent. While plenty of Volcanic builds aim to leverage <strong>Volcanic Scattershot<\/strong>, I instead turn to a smaller engine featuring <strong>Volcanic Emperor<\/strong>, <strong>Volcanic Trooper<\/strong>, and <strong>Volcanic Counter<\/strong>, each adding their own flavor of burn to the mix. For their part, both Counter and Trooper are Level 3 monsters, allowing you to do some fun plays with <strong>Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss<\/strong> and <strong>Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames<\/strong>&#8230; but I&#8217;ll leave that for you to witness on your own.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you don&#8217;t start with the Volcanic engine, you can always turn to the Radiant Typhoon engine to get you started. That&#8217;s because <strong>Radiant Typhoon Swen<\/strong>, <strong>Radiant Typhoon Eldam<\/strong>, or <strong>Radiant Typhoon Chant<\/strong> all lead to a full combo, and if desperate, get you two Level 3s to jumpstart the Volcanic combos. If you already have access, great &#8211; you can instead leverage <strong>Radiant Typhoon Varuroon, the Marine Eidolon<\/strong> so you can access <strong>Radiant Typhoon Mandate<\/strong> to begin your endless cycling of Quick-Play Spell Cards. The next and final engine centers around the new <strong>Dark Magician<\/strong> support from LOCH, and we&#8217;re starting with <strong>Dark Magical Curtain<\/strong><em> (YGOrg Translation)<\/em>. This Quick-Play Spell allows each player to Special Summon a DARK Spellcaster from the hand or Deck; although that&#8217;s not really a problem if your opponent has one, as <strong>Volcanic Blaze Accelerator<\/strong> will take card of that for you, right quick. This is also your best lead-in to a DARK Spellcaster for <strong>Dark Magician of Destruction<\/strong>, the next key card.<\/p>\n<p>By now, everyone should know that <strong>Dark Magician of Destruction<\/strong> leads to <strong>The Gaze of Timaeus<\/strong>, which leads to <strong>Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; it&#8217;s a well-known combo. But did you know that you can summon <strong>The Dark Magicians<\/strong> instead for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">4<\/span> additional free draws by your opponent&#8217;s Draw Phase? Its effect is a soft once-per-turn, so if you just happen to summon it, use a Spell, summon it back with <strong>Charmer Quartet in Bloom<\/strong>, use another Spell, then banish\/resummon it with <strong>Worldsea Dragon Zealantis<\/strong> and use another Spell, you just hit 3 of those draws. Then by that point, you will surely have filled your GY with enough Spells for Mandate to trigger it on your opponent&#8217;s turn as well. These additional draws are before you factor in the draws from Mandate too. You can use these draws for a variety of engines, from leveraging Gaze over and over to using <strong>Super Polymerization<\/strong> and the new HERO Fusions&#8230; the options are endless when you have that many resources to work with.
