This week, I\u2019ve been monitoring the market a bit with a few others, and we\u2019ve noticed many oddities that have been happening. With the new <\/span>Clown Clan<\/b> Deck revealed and with more cards from the <\/span>Limit Over Collections<\/span><\/i> being shown off, many players have been picking up cards for specific Decks over the past week.<\/span><\/p>\n

First off, we will be looking at the <\/span>Primite<\/b> engine itself with <\/span>Primite Lordly Lode<\/b><\/a> and<\/span> Primite Dragon Ether Beryl<\/b><\/a>. Both of these cards have had a steady price over the past weeks, but more sales have been happening, causing the price to tick upwards. Over the past month on the North American market, <\/span>Lordly Lode<\/b> has had 804 total sales between the 4 releases, and <\/span>Ether Beryl<\/b> is up to 766 between its two releases. This has been interesting to watch, as the <\/span>Primite <\/b>cards are among the most covered cards through these market watches, but they are still as powerful as they were when they were released a year ago. Both of these cards are the center point of the engine, as when <\/span>Lordly Lode<\/b> is activated, you can add 1 other <\/span>Primite<\/b> card from your Deck to your hand. You can also declare a Normal Monster Card name to Special Summon that declared Monster from your hand, Deck, or GY, but you cannot activate the effects of Special Summon monsters for the rest of that turn. This card also brings in a bonus for your Normal Monsters and <\/span>Primite<\/b> monsters as they gain 300 ATK for each Normal Monster with different names in your GY, which can boost the ATK of cards like <\/span>Blue-Eyes White Dragon<\/b> to 3300 or <\/span>Dark Magician<\/b> to 2800.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, with <\/span>Primite Dragon Ether Beryl<\/b><\/a>, it is a main piece of the <\/span>Blue-Eyes<\/b> Deck, as when it is Normal Summoned, it can Set 1 <\/span>Primite<\/b> Spell\/Trap from your Deck to your field, like<\/span> Primite Drillbeam<\/b> or <\/span>Lordly Load<\/b>. You can also Tribute <\/span>Ether Beryl<\/b> to send 1 Normal Monster from your Deck to your GY, and during your Standby Phase, if you have a Normal Monster in your field or GY, you can add <\/span>Ether Beryl<\/b> from the GY to your hand. This is great for recursion of the <\/span>Primite<\/b> engine. In Decks like <\/span>Blue-Eyes,<\/b> you can use this card to Link Summon <\/span>Spirit with Eyes of Blue<\/b>, as it requires 1 Level 4 or lower Dragon or Spellcaster monster for its material, and it can search for a copy of <\/span>Mausoleum of White<\/b> from your Deck and allow additional plays afterward.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both of these cards have been going up over the past months, but from the sales perspective, players may have found something that hasn\u2019t been revealed yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the hype from the new support <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> in <\/span>Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Beat, Bladesman Fur Hire<\/b><\/a> has been quickly picked up over the past weeks again. This card is great for the Deck, as it can Summon any monster <\/span>Fur Hire <\/b>from your hand, and if a monster <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> is Special Summoned to your field while you control <\/span>Beat<\/b>, you can add any monster <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> from your Deck to your hand. This is one of the key cards for the Deck, as it allows you to search and Summon any name whenever you need it just off this card if you have another monster <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> in your hand. With the new<\/span> Rex, Gale Fur Hire<\/b> (YGOrganization Translation)<\/span><\/i> being added to your main arsenal, you can reveal it and another monster <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> from your hand to Special Summon both <\/span>Rex<\/b> and that other monster. This will boost the power of <\/span>Beat<\/b> massively, as a new <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> monster was Special Summoned to the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With the last print of this card from the<\/span> 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tins<\/span><\/i>, hopefully, we see some cross promotion in upcoming sets on the TCG side for a reprint of this monster <\/span>Fur Hire<\/b> to let players have easier access to this card.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kewl Tune <\/b>has been seeing some success in the TCG with five Regional tops, and one regional win from the Rome WCQ Regional via a <\/span>Kewl Tune<\/b> Deck piloted by <\/span>Mattia Bartolini<\/b>. One of the main Side Deck options for this Deck is <\/span>Naturia Rosewhip<\/a>, <\/b>as it forces your opponent to only be able to activate 1 Spell\/Trap per turn, which is a hefty toll in this format where most of the top Decks need to activate more than 1 Spell\/Trap during their turn. We have talked about this before in a previous article about how easy it is to Special Summon from your Deck or back from the GY with <\/span>Kewl Tune Cue<\/b>, and it shows how much potential this card has outside of multiple Plant strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With 4 total versions of this card from <\/span>DT02, HA02, HAC1,<\/span><\/i> and a DT version from<\/span> HAC1<\/span><\/i>, this card\u2019s quantity on the North American market is extremely low, so hopefully we see a new printing for it, especially in a rarity above Super Rare in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was recently noticed that some of the<\/span> Fiendsmith<\/b> cards started to move on the market once again, as some players are using it as a generic engine without<\/span> Moon of the Closed Heavens <\/b>being legal any more. Both<\/span> Fiendsmith Engraver<\/b><\/a> higher-end rarities and<\/span> Fiendsmith\u2019s Tract<\/b><\/a> have been moving off the market as the quantity continues to go lower, as it has been seeing great potential in <\/span>Fiendsmith Mitsurugi<\/b> recently. <\/span>Fiendsmith Engraver<\/b> is the original main monster of the Deck as you can discard it from your hand to add any <\/span>Fiendsmith <\/b>Spell\/Trap from your Deck to your hand, and you can shuffle a LIGHT Fiend monster from your GY into the Deck to Special Summon <\/span>Engraver<\/b> from your GY, which happens to be an amazing way to recycle in-engine resources for use on another turn.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fiendsmith’s Tract<\/b><\/a>, on the other hand, can add any LIGHT Fiend from your Deck to your hand, but you have to discard 1 card afterwards, which is perfect for discarding cards like <\/span>Fabled Lurrie<\/b> or any other monster that triggers when discarded. You can also banish <\/span>Tract<\/b> from your GY to Fusion Summon 1 <\/span>Fiendsmith<\/b> Fusion monster by using monsters from your hand or field. This allows you to Fusion Summon <\/span>Fiendsmith\u2019s Lacrima<\/b>, which can Special Summon any LIGHT Fiend from your GY, or you can Fusion Summon <\/span>Fiendsmith’s Desirae<\/b> if you have enough LIGHT Fiends on the field or in your hand, which can bring in mass negation of face-up cards on the field, up to the total Link Rating of the Link Monsters equipped to <\/span>Desirae<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Even though <\/span>Fiendsmith\u2019s Engraver<\/b> was in <\/span>Rarity Collection 4<\/span><\/i>, and both <\/span>Engraver<\/b> and <\/span>Fiendsmith\u2019s Tract<\/b> have seen a reprint in the <\/span>2025 Mega Tins<\/span><\/i>, the cards have stayed steady for the past few months. I don\u2019t see a reprint of these cards in the future, as the focus will be to reprint other cards that have been doing amazingly in the current meta.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, I\u2019ve saved the Edison tech for last, <\/span>Consecrated Light<\/b><\/a>. This card has single-handedly been wiped off the North American market with less than 30 listings total, but there are plenty of listings on the European market. This is because if you control this Level 1 monster, neither player can Summon DARK monsters nor attack with them. And if that wasn\u2019t enough, <\/span>Consecrated Light <\/b>cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK monster, and you take no battle damage from said battles. This has taken off in a crazy way because of how powerful it is against <\/span>Blackwings<\/b>, one of the top dogs to beat in the format, but it can also impact other Decks like<\/span> Gravekeeper\u2019s<\/b>. This card is natively run in <\/span>Kristya Lightsworn<\/b> Decks, and as the name suggests, they also Special Summon <\/span>Archlord Kristya<\/b> as well. With these two cards, they stop all forms of Special Summoning and all DARK monsters from doing anything, especially with a higher amount of Fairy Monsters being used.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Consecrated Light<\/b> hasn\u2019t seen a reprint since <\/span>Astral Pack 4<\/span><\/i> in 2014, so hopefully this card sees a new reprint so newer players that want to play the Time Wizard format have access to this powerful floodgate-like monster.<\/span><\/p>\n

This week has been interesting, as there is more to come in next week\u2019s article, especially with the possibility of reveals from Konami on the TCG side for<\/span> Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i>, but time will tell what will happen.
