While surrendering was generally acceptable in non-sanctioned tournaments, the lack of proper surrendering procedures in official tournaments lead to various undesirable scenarios. Starting on 2023, a select number of high-tier sanctioned events such as the Area Championship officially introduced the same rules as above (with an additional restriction on extra turns\/extra Duels). This update is officially adding surrendering for sanctioned tournaments of lower tiers, after many, many years without such a rule.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Victory Dragon is watching<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":128576,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[20,10],"tags":[43],"class_list":{"0":"post-128575","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-konami-events","8":"category-updates","9":"tag-ocg"},"acf":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"https:\/\/cdn.ygorganization.com\/2026\/01\/surrender.jpg?wsr","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/128575","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/11"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=128575"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/128575\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":128580,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/128575\/revisions\/128580"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/128576"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=128575"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=128575"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ygorganization.com\/staging\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=128575"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
