A year really flies by when you\u2019re having fun, doesn\u2019t it?<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s crazy to think that it\u2019s been a full year since I\u2019ve started doing weekly articles for <\/span>YGOrganization <\/b>with the help of <\/span>Angryjon,<\/b> and it’s been an interesting and great ride for the first year. Thank you everyone for the feedback and great stories in the comments of each article, as they are always a blast to read and see what people think of. So for the final time this year, let\u2019s jump right into the nonsense that is the market of this game and see what players have been looking at during this holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n

This week, we have plenty of cards that have gone up and even had plenty of sales. The first card on the list is <\/span>Delg the Dark Monarch<\/b><\/a>. The last time we talked about this card was back when the <\/span>Monarch<\/b> support was announced for <\/span>Duelist\u2019s Advance<\/span><\/i>, but this time, it is because of the new Link-2, <\/span>Lahamu the Messenger of Sacred Scripture <\/b>(YGOrganization Translation)<\/span><\/i>. When <\/span>Delg <\/b>is Normal or Special Summoned, it can target up to 2 cards in your opponent\u2019s GY and banish them. Then, you send the same number of cards from the top of their deck to the GY. Now why is <\/span>Lahamu<\/b> important for this? She has a Quick Effect during the Main Phase, which immediately Normal Summons 1 Level 5 or higher DARK monster, and this is great for Summoning <\/span>Delg<\/b> on the opponent\u2019s turn as a form of GY removal before your opponent can use their cards in the GY. But along with this, you could also opt for cards like <\/span>Jinzo<\/b> to stun Trap Cards, or even <\/span>Vanity\u2019s Fiend<\/b> to stop Special Summons. <\/span>Delg the Dark Monarch <\/b>has always been an interesting card for players to try and use, even with <\/span>Ehther the Heavenly Monarch<\/b> as a way to do the same in <\/span>Monarchs<\/b> itself, but now, any Deck can access this <\/span>monarch<\/b> because of this generic Link-2.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the last time we covered this card, it still hasn\u2019t seen a reprint, which is odd, especially with the new support wave from <\/span>Duelist\u2019s Advance<\/span><\/i>. Hopefully we see a new reprint soon, as this card\u2019s quantity on the North American market has become abysmally low.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next up, we have hype for <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> as <\/span>Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i>\u2019s<\/span> release is coming closer, and it brings two new cards to boost the deck\u2019s power. Both <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Swen<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Krosea<\/b> have seen buyouts as of recent, as they are both being played at 3 copies per list, as seen by doing research on this Deck from topping lists on many social media sites. <\/span>Swen<\/b> is an amazing card for the Deck and even the engine since you can Special Summon it from your hand if you have <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon<\/b> in your GY or if your opponent controls no Spells\/Traps. Then, when it is Normal or Special Summoned, you can add any <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> Spell\/Trap or <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon<\/b> from your Deck to your hand. Being able to add a copy of <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Chant <\/b>to your hand is powerful, as it can add any Level 4 or lower <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> monster from your Deck to your hand or can add 1 <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon<\/b> from your Deck or GY to your hand. <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Vision<\/b> is another option, as it lets you draw 2 cards, then discard 1 <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> card or a Quick-Play Spell in your hand, or, like the other Spells, add a <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon <\/b>from your Deck to your hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Radiant Typhoon Krosea<\/a>,<\/b> on the other hand, is one of your many boss monsters that you want to max out on, as it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects while your opponent controls no Spells\/Traps. You can Special Summon it from your hand at the same time a Quick-Play Spell Card is activated, and when it is Normal or Special Summoned, you can add 1 <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> card or <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon<\/b> from your Deck and\/or GY to your hand, but you cannot Special Summon for the rest of that turn except WIND monsters. This is really useful, as its additional consistency to the Deck allows you to search for <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Eldam<\/b> or <\/span>Swen<\/b>, or even add a copy of <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Chant<\/b> for additional ways to extend your plays further. As an additional body on the field, this helps you gain access to <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Varuroon, the Sea Spirit<\/b> (YGOrganization Translation) <\/span><\/i>from <\/span>Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i>, as it takes 2 <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> monsters, and when it is Link Summoned, it can add 1 <\/span>Mystical Space Typhoon<\/b> from your Deck or GY to your hand, which is great to get the card that the Deck is centered around. Even though this card can target 2 monsters on the field, 1 has to be a <\/span>Radiant Typhoon<\/b> monster in order to place both in the Spell\/Trap Zones as Continuous Spells. This card shines more with the final effect, as when a Quick-Play Spell Card is activated, you can place 1 Radiant Typhoon Continuous Trap from your Deck or GY face-up on your field, which is only <\/span>Radiant Typhoon Mandate<\/b> for the time being, but leaves it open-ended for the future if they release additional Continuous Traps for the theme.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Both of these cards were slept on for some time until recently, as plenty of players who loved the Deck at first sight picked up the cards to play it and were rewarded months later. With the new support in <\/span>Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i>, it makes it a formidable foe within the rogue Decks to watch out for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kewl Tune<\/b> hype has been jamming out, and <\/span>PSY-Framegear Delta\u2019s<\/b><\/a> price has gone up even more than the last time we covered this card. Being used anywhere from 1 to 2 copies per list, this card has been one of many that players have been using in the Deck to combat Spell Cards, but it also gives the Deck an additional starter-like card with all the <\/span>Kewl Tune<\/b> Tuners, as they allow you to use 1 Tuner in your hand as 1 of the other Synchro Materials for a Synchro Summon. So no matter what position you find yourself in, the <\/span>PSY-Framegear<\/b> monsters are perfect, as they are never dead in the hand. Along with the copies of <\/span>Delta<\/b> being run, they do opt to run the single copy of <\/span>PSY-Framegear Gamma <\/b>for a monster negate and <\/span>PSY-Framelord Omega<\/b> to return cards that are banished to the GY, or if <\/span>Omega<\/b> is in the GY, you can recycle it and another card from your GY back into your Deck\/Extra Deck.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The last time this card saw a reprint was this year in <\/span>OTS Tournament Pack 25<\/span><\/i>, and this card\u2019s price has only been going up since this Super Rare upgrade. Maybe we could see this card and other <\/span>PSY-Framegears <\/b>reprinted in <\/span>Rarity Collection 5 <\/span><\/i>or a future reprint set for more accessibility in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

As I was prepping for this article on Monday night, I noticed that <\/span>Dracotail Arthalion<\/b><\/a> was bought up on the North American market, where now the Ultra Rares are near the same price as its Collector\u2019s Rare. Now, <\/span>Arthalion<\/b> is one beast\u2026 well, a Dragon of a monster, as it requires 1 <\/span>Dracotail<\/b> monster + 1 or more monsters from the hand to Fusion Summon this card, and when it is Fusion Summoned, this card can target monsters on the field and in the GY and return those targets back to the hand. This is extremely powerful, as it can recycle cards like <\/span>Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring,<\/b> Droll & Lock Bird<\/b>, and plenty of other monsters. While <\/span>Arthalion<\/b> is in the GY and 2 or more monsters are sent there at the same time, you can Special Summon <\/span>Arthalion<\/b> from your GY, but it is banished when it leaves the field. This card is a strong force in <\/span>Dracotail<\/b> Decks or any deck that uses the <\/span>Dracotail<\/b> engine, and maybe in the future, it can still be an even more powerful force.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Even with being one of the best Decks in the current format, <\/span>Dracotail<\/b> will be changing again when <\/span>Burst Protocol<\/span><\/i> releases in February, with the new <\/span>Magistus<\/b> and <\/span>Fallen of Albaz<\/b> cards being released just in time for the 300th YCS.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, I have been covering a few Forbidden cards in some recent articles, and this time, I want to talk about both <\/span>Delinquent Duo<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Fiber Jar<\/b>. First with <\/span>Delinquent Duo<\/b>, this powerful Spell Card only costs 1000 LP to activate in order to discard 1 card from your opponent\u2019s hand, then they discard another card randomly. This powerful Spell Card, along with <\/span>Graceful Charity<\/b> and <\/span>Pot of Greed<\/b>, is part of the Trinity of cards that were renowned for their near-universal use in many Time Wizard formats, such as Goat format, due to their near-immediate ways of gaining card advantage over the opponent and sometimes turning the tide of a Duel when played. <\/span>Delinquent Duo <\/b>also shared a format with <\/span>The Forceful Sentry <\/b>and <\/span>Confiscation<\/b>, which are other cards that can rip cards from the opponent\u2019s hand, and if you manage to have all 3 in your hand, your opponent will be left with 1 card in their hand until their Draw Phase.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And lastly, <\/span>Fiber Jar <\/b><\/a>has been a hot topic recently in the community to see if it is worth it to finally take it off the Forbidden List, with the new <\/span>Mimighoul<\/b> theme being able to search for it and use the card properly, along with the new <\/span>Enneacraft<\/b> theme as well from <\/span>Phantom Revenge<\/span><\/i>. This card has been Forbidden for well over 20 years and hasn\u2019t seen a reprint since <\/span>Legendary Collection 4: Joey\u2019s World<\/span><\/i> in 2013. This powerful <\/span>Jar<\/b>, like <\/span>Morphing Jar<\/b>, <\/span>Morphing Jar #2<\/b>, and <\/span>Cyber Jar<\/b>,<\/span> has all been part of the \u201c<\/span>Empty Jar<\/b>\u201d strategy, but <\/span>Fiber Jar<\/b> is different from the others, as when it is flipped, it shuffles all cards on the field, hands, and GYs into the Decks, and both players draw 5 fresh new cards as a restart to the game. But with time, this card has aged not so well, with cards like <\/span>Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring<\/b> and <\/span>Dominus Purge<\/b> being printed over the years to stop cards like this, and with the changes to the time rules, it\u2019ll always end up as a Double Loss if time runs out.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite <\/span>Delinquent Duo<\/b> seeing a few recent reprints over the past few years, this is one of the many Spell Cards that is very unlikely to come off the Forbidden Section. But when you look at something like <\/span>Fiber Jar<\/b>, this monster would be safer to bring back due to an ever-changing meta climate that has become extremely fast for old Flip Monsters to keep up with.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you everyone for the wonderful year and giving this type of article a chance, and hopefully in 2026, I\u2019ll be able to continue doing these for the community who want to see strange oddities on the market.
