The Tombkeeper or Odion strategy aims to overwhelm the opponent with Trap cards. <strong>Apophis the Swamp Deity <\/strong>and <strong>Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi<\/strong> negate cards, <strong>Statue of Anguish Pattern<\/strong> and <strong>Divine Serpent Apophis<\/strong> destroy cards, and <strong>Temple of the Kings<\/strong> turns <strong>Mystical Beast of Serket<\/strong> into a <strong>Naturia Exterio<\/strong> to prevent the opponent from playing the game. This might sound familiar &#8211; I&#8217;ve leveraged this strategy quite a bit before, but now, all of that is backed by a wickedly powerful Gem-Knight engine that just spams the board with additional monsters, material, and threats.<\/p>\n<p>You see, <strong>Gem-Armadillo<\/strong> by itself turns into a full combo, setting up<strong> Gem-Knight Master Diamond Dispersion<\/strong> and <strong>Gem-Knight Hollowcore<\/strong> to negate an opponent&#8217;s effect, all while giving you a free <strong>Gallant Granite<\/strong> to tutor your <strong>Lord of the Heavenly Prison.<\/strong> Add in the additional Normal Summons offered by <strong>Gem-Knight Nepyrim<\/strong> and <strong>Gem-Knight Seraphantite<\/strong>, and you quickly will have the duel served to you on a silver platter. As I&#8217;ve discussed before on my channel, I&#8217;m a huge fan of incorporating <strong>Defense of the Temple<\/strong> in the Tombkeeper strategy to access <strong>Divine Scorpion Beast of Serket<\/strong>, but in here, I&#8217;ve taken it further by also including <strong>Dangers of the Divine<\/strong> and <strong>The Winged Dragon of Ra &#8211;<\/strong> there&#8217;s nothing quite like the threat of a Monster wipe, after the opponent gets through your monsters, that is still backed by a full backrow of Trap Cards.
