And most of the theme’s playstyle is based on combo plays involving the winning hands involving the Dragon Tiles.

So we’ll be going with the following names:

Tenpai Dragon Baidora
Tenpai Dragon Fadora
Tenpai Dragon Zhongdora
Sangen Risedragon Bident Dragion
Sangen Superdragon Trascend Dragion
Brimming Sangen Manor
Sangen Kaimen

To Cite:

Tenpai itself refers to basically being a Tile short of a winning hand. Think of it being Check without being in Checkmate. You’re there but not quite. The Japanese characters refers to a cup or chalice given by the Emperor as a Gift.

Sangen refers collectively to the “Dragon Tiles”, or “The Three Foundation (Tiles)”. The Japanese here is basically a “An illusion of the light” like a Parhelion or Anthelion or a Mirage. But they’re specifically a hand.

Okay. For the Dragons:

Baidora is the Baiba tile (‘The White Slate’). Fadora is the Facai tile (‘Green Abundance’). And Zhongdora is the Hongzhong tile (‘Red Centre’). Together these are one of the key groups of Tiles in Mahjong, the Sangen as I noted above.

Bident Dragion is the “Shousangen” hand, which is basically a smaller winning hand using the Dragon Tiles, utilizing two of the colors.

Transcend Dragion is the “Daisangen” hand, which is the bigger winning hand using the Dragon Tiles, including all three.

Brimming Sangen Manor refers to a Sangensou, i.e. A Mahjong Parlor. Any further usage of what Sakazuki Michiru is supposed mean eludes me but seems to be simply the Japanese idea of the “Cup Runneth Over”.

Sangen Kaimen refers to Kaimen, in which the Dealer draws tiles based on the roll of the dice.

Considering all these, it is much wiser to reference these cards directly as Mahjong references, especially since it’s meant to emulate Mahjong plays with these tiles.

Also, Dora itself is a term in Mahjong referring to bonus tiles that add extra points to a scoring hand.

Source 1

Source 2

Source 3

Source 4

[5,27,77

0":"post-100129","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-articles","8":"category-lore","9":"category-looking-ahead
["GET
