Only if you’re using his effect to special summon him, which you don’t care to do anyway, since no Springans (aside from Springans Kitt currently) cares for their normal.
You normal summon him, then ss Ecclesia and go from there.

For balance reasons, it works.
there istn really any card that would be broken without the mechanic… all cards with this mechanic just reduce the number of usefull names in the deck

It is great the new guy is always treated as Fallen of Albaz anywhere, instead of it being something lame such as only the field or GY. Bit of a shame he locks you into only couple extra deck types, but thankfully you can do other stuff beforehand still. I play with a Chaos Soldier & Branded mixed deck, so I’d prefer not being locked Into solely Albaz themed cards at every single moment. Also for a split second I nearly thought this was somehow gonna be a weird Albaz & Blue-Eyes White Dragon combined support card. Hahaa!
The new Ecclesia card seems good! It isn’t a new main deck Ecclesia card people were asking for, but at least this one is always available in the extra deck, which might be better? I dono. However it will be hard to find space for it… sometimes it feels like the game designers forget how small the extra done is.
PS: Seems the Ecclesia Synchro prevents you from using Branded Fusion… that is a bit sad, but it has been pretty obvious the the game designers want players to start playing the deck in NEW ways instead of stubbornly only playing the same old tired Branded Despia build that meta players won’t let go from. As a deck builder focused player I have more fun building decks, so I personally get hyped at the challenge of coming with new versions of decks.

I make decks for fun, because I actually enjoy this game, a concept that permanently mad tryhards like you are incapable of understanding. Also spare me your delusions on who you assume I am, I don’t post my decks unless somebody asks me, IMO netdecking ruins half the fun of the game. I also never said my decks are meta, regardless of that, they do perfectly fine for my personal enjoyment.

Swordsoul 1 card combo special summon new albaz then special summon ecclesia Synchro summon into the new syncro monster then special summon another eccelsia then either Synchro into a level 12 or tribute summon her to get a swordsoul, i think that works
You’re locked into Synchro 8 and Fusion 8. You don’t want this in Swordsoul.
It’s not quite a 1 card starter but you’re happier to see it in your hand with no other starter than incredible ecclesia because it sets up multiple interactions. White ecclesia only really gets you like tenyi berserker/other 8 and an Albanian dragon proc (off it and ecclesia) but it and a wyrm in hand sets up a lot, though it does lock you from the 10s sword soul makes so easily.

These cards are crazy I really don’t play branded but these cards seem way too good to pass up. I would play the new albaz at 2 and the old one at 1
dogmatika is EATING GOOOOOOOOD
that albaz is a immediate 1 card combo for dogmatika, going first or going second, you still have everything you want right there in this card. the new synchro is also a AMAZING substitute for PSI-frame omega as it helps you shuffle NOT JUST FROM GRAVE BUT FROM BANISH TOO, but not just that, be able to spin a card your oponent controls to the deck. the new albaz also makes dogmatika have new starters, for example: fusion deployment can be a new starter for dogmatika now, as that albaz is always treated as the normal albaz. you can just reveal a fusion that mentions albaz (dogmatika runs fusions that mention albaz) and summon that said albaz and he can summon dogmatika ecclesia.
nadir servant is also now a much better starter too, actually, EVERY card that could add fallen of albaz is a starter for dogmatika, and this means that dogmatika can reduce some of its cards to a much lower amount, as they wont seem much need for that, dogmatika ecclesia could be reduced to 2 now!
ah and also this gives space for dogmatika to run fusion tech cards like quem 🙂
I didn’t think about running these new cards in Dogmatika, I only tried playing with Dogmatika with a Blue-Eyes ritual mixed build before. Am curious now to see how well a Dogmatika & Albaz mixed build can work. It sounds interesting!

Before anyone gets it confused: No, you cannot pitch the synchro from extra deck to grave and then special summon it off the new Albaz. The new Albaz does not say to ignore summon requirements and cards with summoning requirements, including all extra deck monsters, must have been properly summoned during the duel before they can be special summoned from the graveyard, as per the game’s rules.

In lore, Blazing Quem, the only other “Virtuous” monster that isn’t also an “Ecclesia” monster, is on the side of Despia Dogmatika & not Ecclesia Dogmatika. Both have opposite intentions of their purpose & intentions. As you can follow in their Spell/Trap artworks throughout different themes & some of the Branded Animation Chronicle series, Ecclesia has the positive aspects of what the Dogmatika nation represent or purpose.

seeing that Albaz got a synchro monster that supports him, I wonder what would have happened if “Albaz” had been a “tuner” monster and its effect allowed you to do either a fusion, synchro, xyz, or link summon, with restrictions like for example: “not to do an extra deck summon right at the next end phase of the player of the turn if more than 2 monsters were used as material”🤔

There it is. I thought the new fusion was the worst branded card I’ve ever read, like I’d rather summon the Alba system thingy instead of it. This new card totally clarifies why it’s good, still don’t know why they didn’t just say “Virtuous” monster instead Ecclesia monster, maybe it would be too good but branded needs all the help it can to compete with the current meta. can we stop giving branded more support? there’s so many other archetypes that really need support but it’s all getting sucked dry by branded, which has been in the metagame for literal years now. Like it drops to rogue tier for like 2 formats and now they wanna give it 20 new cards to keep it alive
