Spell Counters are stones that amplify the magic within Spellcasters. These specific characters have not been shown using or wearing them.
Then why not make them a different archetype???? Invoked and Spellbook are part of the Endymion lore and they all still are their own separate archetype
Or even better, make them Magistus
The one archetype all about uniting different characters from different archetypes from the same setting, all into one cohesive archetype

The days of the original Magistus quartet are long gone by the time of the events depicted on these cards; these support specifically Regulus because they serve him; Regulus is *still* an Endymion monster at heart, until he eventually leaves the Kingdom and they’re always treated as Witchcrafters BECAUSE they are Witchcrafters. THE WITCHCRAFTER COVZNT ARE ALREADY A THING BY THIS POINT AND MADAME VERRE FOUND THE INSTITUTION IN THE MAGICAL CAPITAL. WHAT IS YOUR COMMENT EVEN TRYING TO IMPLY HERE???
That this didn’t needed to be Endymion support, it does nothing to the deck.
No amount of lore explanations can make up for a deck being garbage, this kind of bs is what lead Ally of Justice to being one of the biggest laughing stocks in YGO history.
I mean there’s an exceedingly simple answer:
They wanted this engine to be accessible off of Spell Power Mastery. That’s it. They wanted Regulus to have 3 more copies if you want.
Same reason why Magistus Endymion is still an Endymion, even if he has essentially no synergy with the Pendulum Deck (the only “synergy” is that he can pop Pend Scales, but the actual Endymion cards and related pend monsters dont care about that).

Despite it being endymion support by name, it honestly helps out witchcrafter a lot more than endymion.

Regulus specifically goes against the wishes of his father, yes. This team is a makeshift archetype because the situation demands it, and the game translated it as such. No issue there. When *actual* characters affiliated with Endymion’s purposes (like Rogue, who made an appearance last chapter), then we’ll get *actual* Endymion support. Simple as.
Yea, exactly, these cards support witchcrafters to a certain degree, barely support the endymion strategy, but they all support the “Regulus” archetype
This is the same situation as magistus, you can technically make all of the decks work together, but they are the best if only the main strategy is supported, which in this deck is the usual ‘Cards that mention a certain speciffic card name’ kind of strategy
Sadly this seems to be a mostly lore archetype, where the lore is more important than how good the cards actually are, at least at the current time

Doesn’t look like Dark Magician would profit off having these feelies, though; only the Continuous Spell could net you a DM on the board and even then you’d need to run the Regulus cards that’s be bricks in your hand and duds on the field.

Card is named Empire but the art just shows one castle and a bridge. The Citadel field spell art has more “empire” scope than this sad lonely castle.
Sad how this is supposed to be Endymion support, but of the cards revealed, those were the ones that sucked. Witchcrafter FTW I suppose.

Low-key disappointed they don’t synergize whatsoever with the Pendulum/Counter Endymions.
They can fetch you spells and they proffit from spellcasters being present
While that doent directly support pendulums or spell counters, it still helps you with the generation of the spellcounters
Regulus and his father are apparently not really on speaking terms at this point in the plot.
I will never not be disappointed that they gave Yoshida these interesting lores to flesh out, and he just went and ignored all the kokoro no yami potential for stuff like this. It’s like they offered him his favorite food and he just spat on it.
Making these Endymion cards was a huge mistake. Using old archtypes where people have wanted new support forever, seems like some pathetic tactic to jangle keys in front of us, like we’re babies. No amount of lore will ever justify making cards that are part of an archtype by name only, and have no synergy with it.
Why did they name Endymion if it doesnt have aby synergy with it? Endymion was supposed to be this chad emperor spell counter boss Konami clearly hates spellcasters considering how busted other monster types are
