What is terrible is having to wait 27 years for support for og equips that function like a gun/sword, even if that is the most basic design space. It’s best not to bring up how that design space was treated later. And you still can’t build a generic non-archetype sea serpent deck, etc. what are we even doing here?
20 years ago you wouldn’t have search in every text box. 20 years ago Mirror Barrier would be solely defensive (as the name trap implies) instead of equipped target gains deathtouch and first strike.

The mad lads actually did it. I had an idea on how to translate this card to mtg but I scoffed at the notion of the ocg ever releasing it. Let me say that “…with an effect to equip themselves to a monster” is very clever. The Tenma Gekko deck dream is no longer just a meme.

Use Armament Reincarnation, grab all your equips that are in GY and either spread them on the tokens or just put on one of them depending on situation and just go nuts.
Maybe next year, then, we can get the other 3 Elf monsters from Gekkou and “ELf” can finally be a canon archetype in OCG. Also, why does Learning Elf only pull equipping Trap cards? Gekkou has FIVE Equip Spells.
I had to make a post when I found out but I can’t believe its taken over 20 years for Learning Elf to actually be released! It kept the draw effect but I never expected it to have a built in trap equipment search effect, Armament Reincarnation is bizzare as well.
Just for clarification, how broadly can “Armament Reincarnation” pick traps?
Do traps work which also summon a monster like the new metal morph cards?
And do traps work which equip themself via an effect like “if this card is send to the gy you can equip it”, instead of the usual equip on activation?
As long as it has ANY effect that equips itself to a monster, regardless of clause, I’m 89% certain it counts.
