    CDP: Madolche Millennium Vernusylph

The puzzle is all coming together.

    Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, and this time we’re returning back to the Madolche theme which I have criminally not covered since before it received its new legacy support in INFO. The Madolche archetype consists of EARTH monsters of various Types, with the goal of spinning cards back into the deck. Going first, it can combo through a ton of its deck to provide an oppressive setup of Xyz Monsters and Traps, but going second, it is just a hair behind Cyber Dragon’s board-breaking potential. I’m going to start with what’s new, so first up is Madolche Queen Tiarafraise. This R5NK upgrade to Madolche Queen Tiaramisu shares an extremely similar effect, just that it is a Quick Effect to be used during the opponent’s turn. This clearly adds a lot to the endboard, but the other good addition is Madolche Dessert. Not only does this spin an opponent’s monster, but it also brings a new Madolche card out of the Extra Deck to add to your endboard, just for your troubles. As for the last card, adding more fuel to get to that point, we also received the theme’s LINK-3 monster, Madolche Mini Meowcaroons. Not only is this a Beast to enable combos with Madolche Messengelato, but it is made with any 2+ monsters (as long as you have a Madolche in there). As a result, this combo theme just needs any other engine that can spam material to the board… which is where the Millennium stuff comes in.

The Millennium engine is best known for running Wedju Temple, Golem that Guards the Millennium Treasures, and Sengenjin Wakes from a Millennium, as any of the three when drawn gets you two free material to work with. This engine is more than that though in my build, as since Sengenjinn is Level 8, I’m pairing it with the monsters thrown to the backrow with Temple to make Snake-Eye Doomed Dragon, turning a one-card combo into 2 Level 8s, making The Zombie Vampire, and getting everything you need to summon Meowcaroons without the Normal Summon. Sure, this may seem like a lot of steps. But it gets the job done, and leaves the Normal Summon(s) for the Madolche monsters to do the real work. The final engine is fairly standard for Madolche, but I’m also running a small Vernusylph core to tutor the EARTH Fairies, as well as combo even harder. And then to stop any attempts to stop my combos, there are plenty of hand Traps, Crossout Designator, and more, ensuring that this deck’s gameplan will always go off without a hitch. Enjoy this sweet treat of Madolche!

QNOTE: This video was finalized and recorded prior to the April F/L list, but it can be easily modified to fit the new format by dropping 2 of the Crossout Designator, if you’d like to play it in the new format. Best of luck as we endeavor to find the next big thing!
